Reverend Glenda Knox and Reverend Judy DePrete have traveled together on the path toward ministry for the past seven years. Initially, when Reverend Glenda held a deep desire to enter ministry, Reverend Judy accompanied her to support that dream and to be a beneficial presence. It wasn't long before they became not only devoted friends but also enthusiastic companions in ministerial studies.

They studied extensively at local workshops and classes learning first hand at the feet of many spiritual masters such as Andrew Harvey, Adyashanti, Jean Houston, Eckhart Tolle, Ram Dass, Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee, Byron Katie, Russ Hudson, Dr. Donald Beck, Rabbi Rami Shapiro, Catherine Ingram, Philip Goldberg, Lama Palden, Tony Parsons, Roger Walsh, Fred Allen Wolf, Leslie Temple Thurston, David Hawkins, Gail Minogue and many others.

Together over a three year period they frequently traveled to Lee's Summit , Missouri to study at Unity Village , World Headquarters of the Unity movement. They completed both the Continuing Education Program and the Leadership Development Program offered by Unity. And, then went on to qualify for Licensed Unity Teacher credentialing through The Association of Unity Churches . They also traveled to Phoenix , Arizona for extensive training as Unity Chaplains.

In addition to the Unity course of study, during the same timeframe, both Reverend Glenda and Reverend Judy earned Bachelor of Religious Studies Degrees from Emerson Theological Institute; and, except for completion of the required professional paper, both are also qualified for Master of Religious Studies Degrees , which they will be completing soon.

Over a three year period, under the mentorship of sponsoring senior minister, Reverend Dr. Marj Britt , Unity of Tustin, Reverend Glenda and Reverend Judy were both certified as having met all requirements to receive their Certificate of Completion in Practical Spirituality Interfaith Ministry Credential through Emerson Theological Institute . In January of 2003, Reverend Dr. Angelo Pizelo, President, Emerson Theological Institute, presented them to be licensed and admitted to the sacred ranks and holy order of Licensed Ministers. Dr. Pizelo charged them with the duty to teach, heal, love and minister to all.

As these two awesome ministers move into co-creation of Common Ground Interfaith Spiritual Center they wear many different hats and play a myriad of roles. They are fully capable of functioning singly. Yet, they choose to function as a finely tuned team, which allows them to express their individual and unique styles within the framework of an integrated and balanced whole. Each of them comes from a very strong background of personal skills, professional expertise and wealth of experience. Prior to ministry Reverend Glenda gained an extensive background in sales and administration. And, Reverend Judy has been a proprietor in business for over twenty years.

Both Reverend Glenda and Reverend Judy are resourceful and willing to experiment with the novel. They are extremely practical and at the same time they are open to complex solutions, including advanced technology and innovative approaches. They are open, authentic, transparent, available and emotionally above-board. They are not emotionally needful and have no need for status, exhibitionism or displays of power. In co-creating this shared ministry they have been willing to put themselves on the line and take full responsibility for its forward movement and clear direction. These core competencies support their deep desire to blend and harmonize the interests of individuals and also consider the good of the greater collective.

They easily shift into awe, reverence and humility; and find it natural to re-enter life with a fresh perspective after having stepped away into periods of contemplation. When in their presence, there is a sense of wonder and playful delight with all of life. It is clear they are having fun and at the same time they demonstrate a depth that comes from an inner-directed core.
